Check over my work? Dual esp32-s3 marauder/bruce + show me yours I’ll show you mine
Hardware:
Nrf24
Esp32-s3 lonely binary external antenna
CYD 2.8” capacitive touch screen integrated into esp32-s3 wroom
Flux capacitor from rabbit labs (c1101 idr the other)
Sequre gps m10-18 (I converted from ceramic to ipex external antenna)
Tp4056 usb c charging module
Mt3608 adjustable boost module
(2x) iPhone batteries 3.82v in parallel, chose them over 18650 because flat
Pack of heat sinks
Laptop fan
Might hook up a capacitor to smooth out any voltage changes.
Hardware on screen is Bruce
Marauder multi boards on the esp32 (not sure if I have problems it doesn’t pop up on WiFi and red light is solid.
I was going to use my pcb board kit to build a marauder and was having a hard time with aesthetic and performance as far as antennas. but then I had a genius idea. Or dumb idk. I build motorcycles and do microsoldering on clusters for repairs or odometer corrections as they store odometer in eeprom.
So i had the idea to take one of the r6 clusters and mount the cyd and all antennas on cluster while maintaining the cluster appearance and LEDs.
I have a second screen that’s not touch screen if I can make that work displaying voltage, and current gps coordinates. I’ll use the 06-16 r6 cluster since it has 2
If it’s too much trouble I’ll use 03-05/06-09,cluster with single. LCD. Plenty of room
Big questions what order should antennas be?
I was thinking from left to right.
Nrf24 , flux capacitor , GPs, esp32.
Is this okay as far as interference?
What can I put to better shield them
Am I missing anything? Is there any modifications I should do?
Should I just use Bruce all the way around? Is there a ‘fast’ method to switch between operating systems if I wanted to
Thank you! If anyone wants to share pics of your build it’s always welcome.!
