should i just start taking practice tests even if I don't know all the question types yet

some context: i havent taken a single timed section or any timed/untimed practice tests and I plan to take it in august for the first time. idk what ive been doing i wasted like 3 months on the loophole when i realized i should've just been drilling - i have started drilling with LSAT Demon, and have gone through about half of the question types for LR (level 1-2 questions). I feel super slow and behind ngl.

anyways my question is: If I don't know all the question types, should I still start timed/untimed sections and/or practice tests? should I filter it to the question types I know or should I just start throwing myself into it and not isolating my drilling to one question type beforehand? that's what I've been doing and it's been pretty helpful, but I feel like my current study method is too slow given my test is soon.
