Intermittent pain over two months PO
Hello all,
I had an uncomplicated laparoscopic hysterectomy over two months ago (still have my ovaries). I've been dealing with persistent pelvic pain. It was somewhat relieved by taking antibiotics six weeks ago and physical therapy for the past few weeks. But now I've been in pain since Sunday (five days ago) in my pelvis and my lower right abdomen. I had a CT six weeks ago that was normal. My blood work results are normal. My urine tests are normal. My OBGYN has no idea and referred me to pain management. Pain management thinks the problem might be muscular and injections for numbing that area would be diagnostic. But they don't want to try injections until an MRI because they are not confident it is a muscular problem. Now insurance won't cover an MRI. I'm going to fight that because clearly something is wrong and an MRI is better at checking for soft tissue damage than a CT.
Anyway, does anyone have any idea what could be going on or heard of a similar problem? It's a dull, burning, intense pain that doesn't respond to ibuprofen or tylenol. I'm at my wits end and have no idea what to do. Suggestions for tests I could request as I fight the insurance company to cover the MRI? I've had CBC, CRP, and EDS. All normal. No digestive or urination issues.
