Hello,

I'm having an open myomectomy next week and I am really nervous. My fibroids are situated in a way that presses on one of my arteries and caused me to get a PE. Currently on blood thinners and my team has all the precautions in place to make sure there are no complications but I'm still very scared.

I am having a vertical open myomectomy and I am worried about pain and mobility. I was wondering if anyone who's had a vertical incision could share their experience? How long would you say it took you to gain some sort of independence? what was the pain level like
