My fiancé and I are currently planning our honeymoon for August and are looking for a destination with a Maldives-style vibe — private, relaxing, beautiful water, and a luxurious beach atmosphere — but preferably not the Maldives due to the monsoon season during that time.

We’ve been considering destinations such as Fiji, Seychelles, or possibly Mexico, ideally with a relatively reasonable budget. We are especially looking for accommodations with a private pool or, preferably, an overwater bungalow.

We’re open to any recommendations or suggestions you may have that fit this type of experience.
