I honestly had no idea they kicked gay people out of the military till reading this. Straight guy privilege I suppose. Im reading up on it now and its tragic how many queer men and women have been booted and the circumstances it often leaves them in. Kate is inspirational in the way she refuses to hide this part of her identity here.
