Question about the long term health impacts of microdosing
Ive taken up microdosing in the last year or so, having been taking a very small amount of shrooms every 3 days on a fairly consistent basis (for reference it’ll take me around 2 weeks or so to finish a 1g bag)
I love the effects of this routine, both on days when I take it as well as the afterglow. I’ve noticed im significantly more confident and content with who I am in a person, I’m happier, I find it easier to connect with other people, and im able to think more clearly and make decisions without my ego getting in the way. These are all things I had struggled with prior to discovering microdosing.
However, i wasnt sure how sustainable this was long term so I did a quick search and was surprised to learn there is a suspected (not proven) association between psylocybin usage and heart disease. I wont go into the science / details around it (feel free to look it up yourself if you’re unfamiliar or curious) but it was enough to scare me away.
I guess I’m wondering if anybody else has been alarmed by this finding. and if it also turned them away. and if so if there’s any substitutes they discovered.
Maybe im just really overthinking it and or maybe there’s been newer studies come out refuting the heart disease one. I dunno. Just wanted to talk to someone about it i suppose
