Enjoying doing something for the first time in forever. So much so that im not put off by my novice. Fruits bby.

Hi. New to reddit. New to oil pastels. This is the first time I've picked up any art medium in over a decade. I've always loved the way impressionist oil pastel works look, finally brought myself to give it a go. Any tips? Reading and mixing the right colours feels like a big struggle. Perspective / form is off. Looking forward to slowly stumbling my way to a decent place. Cheers.
