Painted him in two sections up until now, but he’s finally glued together. Thankfully the foot placement on the rocks lined up perfectly, which could’ve gone very differently.

Filled in the base tonight and letting it dry overnight, so we should be on the home stretch over the weekend.

Colour scheme-wise I’m aiming to match the old 2nd edition codex colours as closely as I can.

Finally made an actual army purchase instead of just buying a random box because “that model would be fun to paint this week.”

I originally had my eyes on Hive Fleet Behemoth, but I ended up leaning fully into the retro vibe instead. Decided to take inspiration from the 2nd edition Tyranid codex cover.

Anyway... Here's a WIP.
