The best falconry logging setup I've seen is still a paper notebook... change my mind

Been reading through this sub for a while and I keep noticing the same thing: people try the logging apps, then quietly go back to paper. Which is kind of wild given the apps auto-pull weather and predict flying weight and paper does none of that.

My theory is it comes down to speed at the scale . paper's already open on the table, no unlock, no taps, doesn't care about dirty hands. The apps win on features but lose on the 10 seconds that actually matter.

Curious if that holds up or if I've got it wrong. What's your setup, and if you went back to paper. what actually drove it?
