Green line suddenly appeared, only had the monitor for 2 weeks, is this normal?

Just bought it but it didn’t come with any plastic layer on top but just this sticky thing when I took off it left glue residue, is this how they ship these monitors out? The only protective layer in the box was the white wrap thing
