Actually a DVD player, but I'm just going straight in to my WiiM Ultra through the coax output, so I'm using it purely for CDs. It has a few cracks in the plastic, but it sounds great.
My only word of warning when buying something like this purely as a CD transport is that the WiiM couldn't do a proper 'handshake" with it initially because it didn't recognise the digital output from the DVD player.
Changing the settings was easier said than done. It's only possible by going into the on screen menus of the DVD player while connected to a TV.
It only has composite and component outputs, which most TVs lack these days, so I had to buy a cheap composite to hdmi converter for the initial setup. Once I did that, it was ready to go.
I've just pulled a couple of thousand of my old CDs out of storage, and couldn't be happier with it.
Edit: Model is Sony DVP-F250 for anyone interested in sourcing one.
