Compensation: Equity Available (open to structuring as we grow)
Stage: Startup Ready (live MVP)

Hey, I’m SB. Born and raised in NYC.

I’m building STERLING, a platform for intelligent AI tools that help people navigate systems that are confusing, expensive, and honestly stacked against them.

First product is TENANT, it’s live. It helps renters handle housing court without a lawyer.

Reality check:
Only a small % of tenants have legal representation.
Legal aid is overwhelmed.
Private lawyers are $2.5K just to start, easily $10K+ if things go further.

So people are already using AI to figure this stuff out — just in risky, unstructured ways. I’m building something that actually guides you through it, step by step.

I shipped the first version solo in a few weeks. I’m non-technical, but very product + design driven. I know how to get something out, make it make sense, and make people care.

Now I need a technical cofounder to really build this out.

What I’m looking for:

  • NYC-based (this matters — the product is rooted here)
  • Strong engineer but also thinks in product
  • Cares about real people, not just “building cool AI”
  • Down to work on messy, regulated, real-world problems
  • Moves fast, doesn’t need hand-holding

About me:

I come from an art + creative direction background.
Art, to me, is about translation — taking something complex and making it clear and felt.

I also run a physical space in Brooklyn, so community isn’t just a word I throw around. I’m in it, every week, seeing how people show up and what they actually need.

That mindset is baked into this.

Bigger vision:

TENANT is just the start.

STERLING expands into:

  • legal disputes
  • financial friction
  • healthcare navigation
  • gig worker economy

Anything where the system is confusing, or expensive — we build tools around it.

I’m not trying to build another AI wrapper.
I’m trying to build infrastructure.

If this resonates, reach out.

SB
