Hi all,

We were served a section 21 in March and are looking for a new flat to rent. I’m a single parent with two teenage children, decent income, looking to rent a 2/3 bed flat in London.

I’ve already had one agent telling me I can’t view a property because the landlord ‘would prefer not to have children in the property’. And a lot of listings on Openrent explicitly state no children etc.

Surely this is illegal now right under the RRA? But what’s the process to challenge this - as a prospective tenant who is ‘just looking’ I wouldn’t want to go through a lot of legal hassle just to view a flat?! Can/should I report them to the council?
