Hi! During a heart examination, it was discovered that I had pericardial fluid around my heart (a small amount). 3 months later, a new check-up was done which showed that it had increased. Referral to a heart clinic was refused because they said it was not due to the heart itself, then referral to a rheumatologist was refused because the pericardial fluid had increased. After that, the doctor gave up and I was left without an answer.
Since my own knowledge about this is limited, I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on what it could be due to and what it could mean that it has increased? I assume it is not a major danger since I was left with it, but it would have been nice to understand what it is due to. I’m a 34 year old female if that matters.
