Anyone else feeling ISP shifting charges in Goa are getting unreasonable?

Been using Ethernet Xpress for years and recently got charged ₹1770 for a connection shift even though the wiring/setup already existed from the previous tenant.

The technician work took barely a few minutes, so the pricing felt excessive to me.

Are others facing similar charges with ISPs in Goa? Any better alternatives for North Goa?

Sharing This So Another Girl Doesn’t Suffer Like Me | 16L debt

Posting this as a warning for people who may be emotionally vulnerable and trusting people too quickly through online/offline communities and meetups.

Last year, during one of the weakest phases of my life emotionally and financially, I met someone through a Reddit/online meetup circle. I opened up about my personal struggles far too quickly, and that vulnerability was slowly used against me.

He presented himself as extremely helpful, emotionally supportive, influential, and well-connected — someone who could “solve problems,” guide me, and help me get stability in life. Over time, trust was built through emotional involvement, reassurance, and psychological dependency.

One thing I later realized is that he used different names/identities in different contexts.

The most important thing people should understand is:
these kinds of manipulators often do not directly steal your savings first.

Instead, they psychologically influence vulnerable people into:

  • taking pre-approved loans,
  • using or maxing out credit cards,
  • applying for new credit cards,
  • taking instant app loans,
  • or financially overextending themselves under emotional pressure.

That is exactly what happened to me.

Today, I am still repaying nearly ₹16 lakhs connected to that period of my life.

The emotional aftermath was worse than the money:
panic attacks, shame, suicidal thoughts, family trauma, legal stress, and complete emotional breakdown.

I’m posting this because manipulation does not always look like obvious fraud. Sometimes it looks like:

  • emotional support,
  • “I’ll help you, because your my wife”
  • fast trust-building,
  • becoming deeply involved in your life,
  • making you emotionally dependent,
  • and influencing decisions when you are mentally exhausted.

Please be careful about:

  • sharing vulnerabilities too quickly,
  • trusting strangers with financial matters,
  • taking loans under emotional influence or he gaurenteed that he will solve your problems.
  • and ignoring your discomfort because someone appears intelligent/helpful/supportive.

If anyone has experienced something similar involving meetup/Reddit circles and changing identities, you are free to reach out privately. I believe many vulnerable people stay silent out of shame, and awareness matters. We can connect together and maybe file FIR together.
