Hi! I am a junior in high school and I am auditioning to be one of my school's drum majors for this upcoming school year. Part of our application process is a conducting audition. We have to conduct the song "Sousa!", which is a Memorial Day medley, in one of the band classes. The tune is in 6/8. I know the basics of conducting but I am looking to improve before my audition. Does anyone have any tips on conducting in 6/8, as well as tips for my audition? Thanks!
