Hello!! I’m planning to move to Da Nang in the near future and I’ll be bringing my dog with me. Recently, I’ve heard a lot of scary stories about dogs being stolen, hostility toward dogs, and generally unsafe situations for pet owners in Vietnam.

How do locals generally feel about dogs? Are people usually friendly toward them, indifferent, or hostile? Is it realistically safe to walk a dog there and live a normal life with one?

Would really appreciate honest experiences from locals, expats, or anyone living in Da Nang with a dog. Thanks!
