New garden question.

I moved fall of 2024. Started building my butterfly / pollinator garden in 2025. I have cone flowers, garden phlox, bee balm and lavender that I planted last year. This year I am adding milkweed, roses, clematis, butterfly bush, and a section of hollyhocks. Is there any other plant recommendations to add? Also how long does it usually take for the butterflies and hummingbirds to find the garden? I am in north central Ohio zone 6. Also forgot I have added dill weed to my vegetable garden.

Monarch Butterfly Milkweed question.

My question is I want to plant some milkweed in my garden barrels but don't know what kind to plant. There seem to be several different varieties of milkweed plants. Is one better for attracting Monarchs than the others? Or does it matter so long as its milkweed? I live in north central Ohio which is zone 6.

pea plant flower color

I have planted a few varieties of peas this year and one flower on one plant is purple. The rest are white. Any reason for this? or just one of those things that make you go huh.

I live in Northern Ohio and looking at growing blueberries in pots but have a question about what to do during the winter. I am looking at growing them in the large plastic barrel looking planters so do I have to cover the tops of them with straw or move them in side my shed for the winter? or just leave them alone and let it ride?
