stay cool stay cool stay cool

Just had to post about it because I'm honestly bursting a little. My 7 year old has been watching me fence for the last two years and is finally old enough to give it a try. Had his first class this week and LOVED it. Came down this morning with his fencing glove on lol.

I have to remind myself to tell him that he doesn't have to love the things that I love, and it's ok for him to stop if he really hates it, but holy crap am I excited that he's trying it out and enjoying it!

Just gotta stay cool and not install a piste in our basement... Or maybe I do install the piste... We'll see how lesson 2 goes.

Issues with consistency in sizing

A while back I bought an ultralight lame from Allstar that was the same size on the tag as my regular lame from them. The ultralight turned out to be much larger to the point that I had to have it adjusted to fit correctly. I’m curious if anybody else has had this issue, and if so are there other manufacturers whose sizing is more consistent?

I have an ultralight lame that I bought a few months ago, same size and manufacturer on the tag as my regular lame. Problem is I'm swimming in it. I assume that a lame can be altered like anything else, but does anybody have a decent resource for either how to do it, or who to bring it to?
