Just beat Uncharted 2 for the first time and wooo boy. This game means so much to me
Hi everyone. So i just finished Uncharted 2 for the first time and am i so full of emotions right now. I first got this game very late, i want to say 2016/2017 (i don't remember which year exactly) from a teacher of mines. Here's how this happened. So i was in sixth form (12th grade for you Americans) and i was doing a research project, specifically on video games. I was giving out my questionnaires to the my teachers and my old chemistry teacher asked for one. Now i was pretty late to the PS3 party, older brother got it in 2013 so i know i missed out on alot of games for that thing.
This is where my teacher came in clutch, he asked about my interests in gaming and when i explained that i was trying to get more out of my PS3, he asked me about games i'd love to play. He mentioned Mass Effect, Uncharted and Dead Space and asked which franchise i'd love to play the most. So at the time, my friend was playing through Uncharted 4 and the bug really bit me so i told him Uncharted. The next day, he brought back my questionnaire filled out and was like, i have something for you, he proceeded to give me Uncharted 2. I was like, so when do you want this back? He said and i'll never forget this "Keep it, it's a gift. I just want you to enjoy it!"
I'll never forget that, ever! Sadly i didn't get to fully enjoy it at the time as my brother's PS3 got the YLOD and i only got the Uncharted collection in 2020 due to the 'Play At Home' initiative and after playing and beating Uncharted 1, i finally decided to go back and play the others. The graphics, the gameplay and overall experience is such a jump from 'Drake's Fortune' that i see why this game was raved about back then.
Sorry if this post seems wordy/rambley but it just goes to show how Video Games can affect us in so many different ways. Really am grateful for my chemistry teacher for the hook up! <3
