Researching how online self-improvement culture has affected young men and families
I’m working on early-stage research for a UK documentary exploring how online masculinity and self-improvement culture has affected young men and their families. I’m interested in speaking confidentially with people who feel this world has had an impact on their lives, whether positive, negative, or somewhere in between. This might include: young men who became deeply involved in online self-improvement communities people who found these ideas helpful at first but later had mixed feelings parents who feel a son changed emotionally partners who noticed changes in a relationship At this stage I’m simply looking to understand people’s experiences. Any initial conversations would be informal and confidential, and nothing would be used publicly without further discussion and consent. If this resonates and you’d be open to a private chat, feel free to message me.
