Hi I’m just posting to ask for advice and to ask if there is anything else I can do for the time being to keep my hamster happy. Her cage isnt permanent I’m going to buy her a new one in the next month ( I’m moving house and her cage size atm is perfect for moving her and she’s used to it ) inside her cage she has -
A sandbath
-5 ish inches of bedding ( I tried my best to fill it as much as possible for her )
-2 ceramic hides , one coconut hide , one bridge hide , cheese hide , seagrass hide, the big box is her main hide I just a seagrass tunnel for the entrance to make it more fun, 4 of her hides have open bottoms too for encouragement to burrow
-3 texture/feeding bowls where I scatter feed her food and put it to the bottom of the bowls
-Large wheel
- a seasaw
- dice treat chew toy
- sprays, whimzees , mealworms
- homemade boredom breakers
- 2 small substrate dishes , I just put cardboard and toilet paper in so she can collect new materials for burrowing
- so many chew toys , sticks , things attached to the bars so she’s distracted and not thinking about climbing/biting them ( which she doesn’t do)
- 2 water bottles
- scatter rose petals
I think I’ve listed everything but please comment and recommend good new cages, and any other good ideas to make her cage more enriched and exciting
