[OG] Would you read a fanfic of Obey Me where MC isn't human? (Marking as spoilers for certain Story based points for the games)
Hi yall! If you've been around a while you've probably seen my failed attempts at writing fanfics and part of it being seen as 'fails' for me is well I'm anxious and I worry no one will actually like it OR I overwhelm myself by trying to make it as close to cannon as possible while also adding my own thing. My fellow 'tism homies, I hope you get what I'm meaning.
Anyway as the title suggests I've been wanting to write a story for so long tying my two favorite Shall We Dates together, those being Obviously Obey Me but also Blood in Roses (Yes, I know, I'm old) For those unfamilair and were part of the misfortunate lot that never got to experience the beloved insanity that is old SWDs Blood in Roses is about a human (Witch or Huntress depending on season) who comes across a vampire castle turned hotel where, in most routes, you're turned/turning into a vampire after being bit. You are racing against a clock to turn back into a human while also falling for characters ranging from Vampires, to werewolves, a devil, a half dragon humans and even a couple of reapers (Love those two <3).
One of the big parts about BnR is that the hotel is a lot like what Diavolo wants to do with the three worlds so I've been toying with the idea that either they accidentally bring down my MC, Serenity, unaware she's a vampire OR they know she is one and are doing this on purpose because those from the hotel, The Libra Sincera, have a perspective that is far more similar to what he wants to do. My biggest problem has been that A) The brothers' pacts and they're whole importance going from Season 2 into 3 + Beyond. B) The whole Ring of Light situation >!AKA Simeon giving up his Angel title to become a human after not only stealing but altering the life of a human!< And C) Everything being so intertwined with the idea of MC being human Especially the stuff with Solomon.
Now I have ideas how to deal with Issue A since BnR does explain how vampire claims are similar to pacts so that's no big deal realisitcally but conjoining it with the Ring of Light stuff and the human connected aspects I feel bad and confused.
On other aspects though, I think it'd be funny, like the vampire events would be waaaaaay too funny to pass up opportunity of her just feeling embarrassed by the whole thing. Not to mention some of it would feel like disconnected if that makes sense with all of the Lilith stuff.
Over all what would you guys say? Would you read something OM related where MC ISN'T a human?
