Before and after restoration of Felix in the Bone Age (1927) from a 35mm scan

This is one of about 20 silent cartoons I'm currently restoring from original 35mm and 16mm archival elements. The source material had a lot of dirt, scratches, and other issues. Still a work in progress, however

Previously unknown footage from Winsor McCay's How A Mosquito Works (1912), has anyone seen other variant prints?

I've been working with archival film scans of silent-era animation for a project and recently came across a print of Winsor McCay's How A Mosquito Works (1912) that contains footage not present in any version I've seen circulating. The additional material can be seen on the left side of the included video.

I've studied the commonly available versions of this film and haven't been able to find any reference to this footage in the McCay literature I have access to. An historian I asked didn't have any answers either.

Has anyone here encountered other prints of this film with variant footage, or come across any documentation of alternate cuts or different release versions? Curious whether this was known to exist and I simply missed it. This is from the LOC, so I wouldn't considered it "lost."
