I'm flying to Quito in a few weeks then plan on heading to Mindo for three days. But it seems like the buses from Quito to Mindo are limited, and because I'm old and handicapped, I'm worried I won't be able to get my rollator (a walker with wheels) on the buses.

Aside from spending a fortune on a taxi, anyone have any suggestions?

What does the blue thing mean? I haven't missed a day since I've started — and I had a very bad week, but made sure I got my DL done — and while I really don't care, I'm just curious.

Sorry to make another post so soon, but I am VERY old and computer illiterate and just got the info I asked for a month ago.

I just actually got two requests (have no idea how they found me) and managed to immediately get one person transferred to my WhatsApp account, but now I can’t reply to the other person because I’ve apparently used up my two “free” chats. 😭 (I refuse to pay. I'm poor and live in a poor country.)

I told them I’d accept them (although I don’t think I officially accepted because I don’t know how to do that) but now I guess I can’t talk to them for two days.

Just an addendum. It now tells me I can get an add'l two free contacts if I sync my contacts, which I also won't do, and I can tell my surfer is trying to reach me (the number of messages is going up) so both she and I are screwed. (Unless someone wants to contact the traveler for me.)

Any thoughts as to how to fix this without paying?

And I am signed up for ALL the other sites, but until I start getting requests from them, I'll grit my teeth and stay here.

I just heard of a horrifying new problem related to CS.

There are apparently a number of WhatsApp/Zoom groups made up of people who use CS, but aren't directly tied to CS. (Other than having CS accounts either as hosts or travelers.)

Several of the organizers of these groups recently received messages saying because these groups (apparently) have "banned" CS members attending/on the WA/Zoom meetups, it's a "serious safety violation" and the people who are running these non CS get togethers will have their CS accounts deleted if they're not stopped.

One organizer of one of these groups is certain someone was spying on the get togethers which is why the message was sent.

This is terrifying! It's bad enough they ruined the Web site, now they're trying to keep CS members from belonging to other organizations? Will they start spying on the other hosting groups and removing people who have multiple memberships?
