If there is another by-election before June 2027 and Nigel Farage wins, Count Binface will secure an unwanted place in the record books
That’s because Count Binface has contested and lost two elections since June 2026 (Makerfield and Clacton on Sea by-elections).
One more defeat and he’ll tie with John Falkenstein of the Reform Party. In May 2025 he was narrowly defeated in the North Tyneside election campaigning to close down HMOs and cut waste in the public sector. Days later the newspaper Private Eye revealed Newcastle City Council had to spend thousands to tackle a HMO which John Falkenstein had a role in setting up. This dented his appeal and in July 2025 he lost the Longbenton and Benton Ward by-election to Labour and in May 2026 he lost to Labour again in the Backworth and Holystone ward.
A defeat for Count Binface would mean he tied for defeats with John Falkenstein. If he’s defeated before June 2027 he’ll be the first to get to three defeats in a year.
