Commute Question - from Middletown area to Saddle Brook area?

I'm not familiar with the Saddle Brook area. It shows as 45 miles. Drive time when I look during afternoon rush times are 55-75 minutes. Does anyone know how bad it is to actually do it? My current commute is less than 20 minutes. Commute when I used to go from Brooklyn to the city, or from here back to the city was hell, but I'm not that person anymore and can't go back to misery. LOL There's just not a whole lot of options in a 20 minute radius and this is a good company with a nice amount of vacation time.

I am more nervous intervieeing this time around. Any solutions?

I am struggling with feeling like if I have an interview and don't get the job that it is a door that's slammed shut. I'm lucky that I work about 15 minutes from my house right now and have a hybrid schedule. I have a 2nd zoom interview scheduled with a great company that's 20 minutes from my house and also hybrid. I can't shake the feeling that there are a really limited amount of places like this and if I screw up the interview, that's it. That place is gone.

That's kind of always been the case, so I don't know why this thought is crushing me this time. Maybe I've just gotten soft from this easy commute. And layoffs are looming at my current company. I wanted to leave anyway, but now I feel rushed. I just don't want this to wreck my interview performance.

Recruiter asked me to let them know if I step up my job search?

Hello! I'm in the early stages of looking for a new job. My company had some layoffs. I fortunately haven't been affected yet, but other companies obviously know it's happened. A recruiter from a company I'd be interested in working for contacted me based on my linked in profile. We scheduled an initial call that went well. I said I originally planned to start looking after the summer but had moved up my timeline based on what was happening at my current company. They asked if I was on a tight timeline to get out right away, or if I was talking to other companies yet, (No), and asked that I let them know if that changed so they could speed up on their end if need be.

Is that a good sign, or is there some kind of red flag with that that I'm not seeing? I haven't gotten any kind of feeling of being strung along. 1st phone call was scheduled pretty quickly and 2nd call with someone else scheduled for 1 week after the 1st. The whole process stresses me out, even without layoffs looming, so I just want to feel like I know what's going on. Thank you for any thoughts

Anyone with experience working at Marsh McLennan?

Early stages of job hunting. I'm a CL Account Manager and I've worked at 1 agency and 2 big brokers. Would love to hear thoughts on the company. Or any advice on places to stay away from. I find interviewing and the job search so draining. Thank s for any help!
