I created a website for converting video to ASCII https://asciitool.com/video-to-ascii

I'm sharing my first update for asciitool.com It's a work in progress so I would love to hear any feedback.

A big focus for me is how functional the tool is for any use case so if there's something want added I'm very interested.

I've also included plaintext frame exports with timestamps in JSON format. It would be really cool to see if anyone uses this in a software project.

Anything with practical visuals like this is really interesting to work on. I'll be releasing the ANSI Video version soon.

First Reddit post ever. Wanted to share a project called asciitool.com I've been working on for a couple weeks now.

It's definitely still a work in progress, but I'd love to hear any thoughts.

I plan on implementing these tools soon:

- Video / Gif conversion
- ASCII and ANSI studio
- Art Gallery

This is just what I've thought of so let me know if there's anything you've been looking.

Initially I developed the tool for a college software project. I just wanted some graphics but wasn't happy with anything I found online. I ended up making my own and it's grown into this. It's been so fun working with the medium.

I've spent the past week trying to make the tool easy to work with. The tool supports every export type I could think of. Let me know if I've missed any.

Since I originally developed it for myself, I spent a little extra time making the escaped string exports, hopefully this helps another developer out there.
