Going on my first cruise this month and had a question about disembarking with a full size suitcase, not a carry on.

What is the policy/procedure for this?

My hope is that I can just carry it with me off the boat and not have to give it to a porter. We apparently reach vancouver at 8am on the Zaandam and I have a flight at 2pm at YVR. I just want to minimize any variables, hop straight on the skytrain and head to YVR. That's probably ample time, but I'm unfortunately paranoid. I want to note that safety is not an issue as I'm in my 30s and physically fit to lug around a 50lb suitcase without an issue.

Trying to explore the area more and couldn't find a list. Bonus points for not expensive. I'm looking for more weekend outings rather than special occasion places.

You guys got anything for Mediterranean bowls for the healthier side? My default for healthier side is something like urban plates.

Thai would probably be siam station.

Indian is the Indian Kitchen in Tustin.

Mexican is Tacos los cholos or cali taco.

Chinese, I like tasty garden a lot.

Going to go on my first cruise ever and it'll be on the Zaandam in July. Hoping you guys can help me answer some questions that I couldn't really find answers for.

The afternoon tea: This looks like a cool/nice thing to do. I think it's only available at 3pm on sea days. Is that right? Do I need to make a reservation in the MDR or just walk up? Are my young kids allowed to join?

Couch configuration: My littlest is 4 years old and too big for a crib. They're going to take the couch. Is HAL ok with me requesting 2 extra pillows to put on the floor in case they roll off the couch?

Hangers. If we go swimming and don't get the laundry package, can I request extra hangers to hang it in the bathroom to dry out? What are my options to dry out swimming clothes if they don't do extra hangers?

Noise levels: I can be a pretty light sleeper. How well isolated is the noise coming from outside the rooms? I'm probably going to bring ear plugs anyways.

Room service: I saw that room service was included. Do you guys tip them? If so, how much?

Water coloring: I saw there was some water color painting event. Is that for a fee? I assume it's probably reservation required as well.

Anyone got any news on Zaandam's propulsion issue? Looks like it's sailing at pretty decent speeds now.

Was it a fish net caught in a propeller? Or was it that electric motor having issues? Maybe both?

I hope the passengers on this trip get well compensated for this. I'd be pretty disappointed in what I feel like are most people's bucket list trip.
