How do I begin drawing with the intent to draw furry because I love anthro characters

I am trying to get into art and getting overwhelmed at how to begin because I was just doing boxes in perspective and tracing to figure out proportions and I realized that I stopped drawing for fun out of fear of making “bad” art. So if you could give advice on how you started and some YouTubers you like. I use an iPad for notes for college so I just used that for drawing since it was available. I love furry art since I was a kid but didn’t start drawing casually a month ago until my artist friends were telling me to just do drawabox to learn fundamentals and I was just doing that and drawing boxes over fanart (I don’t post them the art of Noelle from deltarune in my profile I posted because I was really proud of it but I couldn’t find the user to ask them so I made sure to credit them clearly, which I wont post that anymore)

Does music hinder your ability to focus, in terms of reading and studying

The other day I was wondering about what’s described in the title of the post. Because for me it really helps, with music I can focus for hours with it on. But the genre and amount of focus required for a task matters. Because if the task calls for more dedicated attention, then I will put on video game and movie OSTs typically. If it’s less focus intensive, I’ll introduce songs with lyrics but it’s to set the mood, or to get invested with whatever I’m doing.

But I’m reading online that people are saying the opposite is true, that it is counterproductive to listen to music. Now I’m concerned that the fact I typically have to listen to music to get into the mood to focus means that my attention span is bad. Granted, I don’t have a million devices on at once, just usually one or two. I do have the capability to focus without it, it just makes it more enjoyable and easier to focus

Now I’m curious about your perspectives on this :3
