This is my enclosure for Echo the juvenile panther. Lately he’s been very dark during the day, often scaling the ceiling of his enclosure for a couple hours during the day. His basking spot is 85-88 degrees. I’ve heard mixed advice about temperature recommendations for that area. His UVB bulb is working, as I’ve tested with a solar meter reading 3.0-4.0 around his regular chill spots. Today he was light colored for most of the day so am I reading into his usual dark color more than I should be?
