A Ben 10 Dram Video Game
We seriously need a true open-universe Ben 10 game.
Not another short beat-em-up or a basic mission game. I’m talking about a full open-world/open-galaxy experience where you can actually live as Ben Tennyson.
Imagine starting with only a few aliens and unlocking more over time by exploring planets, fighting bounty hunters, discovering DNA samples, or completing story arcs. Every alien would have real gameplay differences instead of just being different skins. XLR8 for traversal, Four Arms for destruction, Grey Matter for puzzles/hacking, Heatblast for aerial combat, etc.
The Ben 10 universe is honestly perfect for an ambitious game:
- Multiple planets and dimensions
- Hundreds of aliens
- Different Omnitrix versions
- Villains like Vilgax, Kevin, Malware, Highbreed, Charmcaster, and Zs’Skayr
- Team-ups with Gwen, Kevin, Rook, and even alternate Bens
- Alien worlds we barely got to explore in the show
Imagine something with the scale of Spider-Man, No Man’s Sky, and Batman Arkham mixed together. Flying through space as Jetray, fighting kaiju-sized enemies as Way Big, or infiltrating enemy bases as Big Chill would go insanely hard.
And the transformation system could be revolutionary if done right. No loading screens. Instant transformations mid-combat with combo chains between aliens. That alone would make the gameplay feel unique compared to every other superhero game.
What makes Ben 10 frustrating is that it has one of the coolest concepts in fiction, but gaming has never fully taken advantage of it. The franchise literally gives developers endless gameplay possibilities.
At this point, I think a well-made Ben 10 open universe game could easily become one of the best superhero games ever made if the right studio handled it.
