me:
1- 9/9/8, tier 1 DU UG (SRCC/Stephen’s/Hindu)
2- Age - 23, Major - Eco/Maths/Stats
2- ~2 yrs at unicorn startups, currently in core strategy at one
3- making ~20 LPA + 20 L ESOPs (4yr vest)
this szn:
A- SPJIMR ✅
B- IIMB - WL (non-convertible)
C- FMS - rejected
so SP is basically my best bet, Shillong (converted) and IIM Mumbai (results awaited) as plan B.
the dilemma:
already in strategy, decent pay, ESOPs cooking. is SP actually an upgrade or am i just paying ₹ to end up in a similar role? foreign MBA is on my mind too but with the AI wave shaking up consulting/strategy hiring idk if now’s the time or if i should chill 1-2 yrs and target M7.
need:
1- SP/A/B/C/L/XL alums - worth it for someone already in strategy? real talk on placements pls
2- anyone who skipped MBA from a similar spot and doesn’t regret it
3- ppl who did foreign MBA recently — is the market actually cooked?
4- do this kinda profile has a shot at IB/VC roles without CA/CFA
