For me it’s only been an 89. I’m wondering if anyone ever pulled a LTD or 99 of any sort.

Can someone please ELI5 why it is frowned upon to use “old cards”? Like if I have a 99, it stays a 99… why do people then say it’s bad to keep them etc? Do they ever reduce the abilities of cards as the seasons go on? What is the advantage of constantly switching out for the newer cards ?
