The CBSE Result Extravaganza
This afternoon a lot of students heaved a sigh of relief after the declaration of class XII CBSE result. They, me included, had been waiting for a while at this point.
While for some it was a joyous occasion because they passed or qualified the 75 percent criteria or aced it, others sank into an abyss of despair and disappointment because their result didn’t live up to their expectations. However and whatever the result was, it is one dumb exam at the end of the day, so whether or not you did well is subject to interpretation. There are students who are of the opinion that 88 is not good because they expected some score in the 90s along with others who are overjoyed at 62.
Always remember it is the same exam which had the qr of Rick Roll and what not on it, now tell me what good can such an exam bring to you in the long run. As long as you think you have done enough irrespective of what your parents, relatives, friends, peers, teachers think, you are fine and in a very great position.
And if that doesn’t make you feel any better; think about the misery of NEET students who have to go through the trouble of studying everything all over again. Be glad it’s over for you because it is not for all of us. Some are still up all night studying(not chilling), at least now you can sit back and relax, if anything it is a burden off your chest.
And now about my result, I m content with it. Never in my wildest dreams could I fathom a result like what I got. I was not sure of clearing the 75 criteria let alone get a good percentage. Relatives from far off lands who didn’t care until yesterday whether I was alive or dead messaged and called me. All the while I was talking to them I kept wondering why in the world are they so inquisitive , it is only a result after all.
