For some reason my brain gave me a glimpse of the depressing state of immortality, by witnessing the last of a group of Heroes and their arch nemesis and right hand man.

His friends had already died, and the last of his so-called friends were their arch nemesis Mr. Evil and his henchman, Mr. Negative, for they were the last remaining friends he had left, and they too had grown old and were going to die soon.

The dread I felt, being The Last One alive and the last one to continue to live, felt so heavy and so depressing that I am glad that I am mortal and not immortal, If I ever were to turn out to be immortal just like him I would break down crying and I do not believe I would be able to handle that loneliness.
