Researching for Fiction Piece - What exactly does the curriculum of a Photography Program look like?

If this is the wrong place for this, I am so sorry; feel free to delete.

I am writing a long-form fiction piece (I'm avoiding the dreaded B word for fear of cursing myself) in which a character is attending university as a Photography major. I'm doing some digging around seeing what course work looks like, syllabi, etc., but at a certain point I want to know the actual lived experience of the whole thing. So, to that end, I was wondering if anyone who has sought education in the field has anything more specific to share. Stuff along the lines of:

  • What was the path of courses like, beyond the introductory/foundational coursework? (eg what did you get into after the absolute basic 101 stuff, the History of the Field stuff, etc)
  • For that matter, what was the experience in those classes? I know Critiques are a big aspect, having actual hard input on your work, but what was the day-to-day micro level like?
  • What kind of specialization did your university program offer in a Photography degree? For example, none of my Psychology Major friends stayed just "a Psych Major," some got into Cognitive Psych, or Neuroscience, so on and so on.
  • Were internships a hard requirement in your plan? How did that play out/how was that experience?
  • Little things like amusing/fun stories you want to share, little things I should know to add some flavor to everything. I know what students were like in my program back in college; I know what Theater Kids are like (by osmosis). I don't know what "Photography Kids" are like.

Anything at all would be considered helpful, and my DM's are open.

Can I use previously-cooked rice for fried rice more than 24 hours after initial cooking?

Title. Made some plain white rice 6 PM on 05/07, with the intent of using the rest today 05/08 for fried rice. However, got spontaneously invited to a dinner with family and intend on doing that, meaning the earliest I can use the rice in fridge is now the morning of 05/09.

I let it cool down for about ten minutes before putting it in a tubberware container into the fridge, where it has remained since. I know rice can get dicey real quick but I also know it lasts longer than people tend to fear. Am I good to go in using it tomorrow morning still or better to play it safe?

Just received a refurbished M4 MacBook Air 13" yesterday; so far, I absolutely love this thing. Especially coming from a 2020 Windows gaming laptop that could hardly open Firefox anymore, despite my best efforts to get it back up to shape. However, something I came to appreciate with that machine was hooking it up to a monitor, plugging in a keyboard & mouse, and using it lid-closed as a makeshift desktop. I know this machine is more than capable of doing a similar feat (if not more capable), but the world of Mac peripherals is new to me.

Any recommendations for a dock to suit this need? I would only be using one external display, I don't do a dual-monitor setup. One monitor, a keyboard by USB-A, and a wireless mouse at the absolute minimum, with additional slots for the sake of external drive stuff, etc.. I don't have a price range in mind, I'll accept just about any suggestion.
