New project for figure composition (FigureZen)
This week I published a project called FigureZen (figurezen.com), which is meant to subsume and improve upon the functions of some common applications that I use in manuscript / figure preparation (that shall remain nameless, but let’s call them RioBlender, Idobe Allustrator, and Praphpad Grism).
These functions are free in this project, and the interface and functionality, in my biased opinion, are at least as good.
Any figure that you generate is owned by you and easy to share / collaborate on. There are no licenses to download anything.
Please share any positive or negative feedback. My hope is that it will be useful to at least one person other than me. And that it will give another option to people who don't want to buy another program just to finish a paper. If you do use it for a manuscript, see the “How to Cite” section of the help menu to make sure the underlying statistical packages get appropriate credit.
