Anyone else have lupus/rheumatoid arthritis and still work as an lmt?

Hey guys.
I’ve been ill since October and I just reactivated my license and been working at an lmt.
I have lupus/ RA and I have to take immunosuppressants. When I got my first infusion yesterday my nurse asked me how on earth I’m doing massage like this… I only do 4 massages top a day 3 days a week. But honestly I’m exhausted and in pain for days after let alone the infection risk from clients…

Anyone else here in the same boat? What do you do to help?

Rhutriximab infusion first timer

Ok so I am sure I mis spelled that, but if you’ve taken it I’m sure you can see what I meant to spell.

Anyway I’ve been on methotrexate and pred since October and now I’m moving on to rituxan? Rituximab? Med names are up in the air. Anyway I start infusions in two weeks.

I’m alone. The infusion center is an hour away I work as a massage therapist…. Does any one have advice for what the day of is like (can I drive home it seems that’s a no?) and can I work the week of? (I’ve heard it makes you sick week of and you do it once a week for two weeks then every 6th months from what I was told?) and also I saw people say bring stuff to do but others say don’t bring anything you’ll mostly be asleep?

Any advice?

Work place not sending you clients?

I work in a wellness clinic and we have a membership system as we have pts and a gym and stuff… we can’t advertise ourselves except for the chair events we get sent to, and there is no online booking people have to call and the front desk puts them with people.

They only give me one a week or non if I was at an event. I KNOW I’ve funneled non members into the center but they were booked w other lmts. And when I do get a booking front desk messes it up. I’ve even had people tell me they were told “oh no one works here by that name”

My question… what do I do about this? I feel like I should leave but I don’t want to leave and give up with them… but I’ve done so at my last two jobs (I left for illness but also the job before this a girl was canceling my clients and rebooking them with her, I found out when a client came in and was mad her booking w me was canceled)
Surely massage isn’t so cut throat or picky this has happened with two jobs back to back in one year? And when I ask questions no one responds I just… I want it to work but it feels stacked against me?
