Car damage during hotel stay in Scotland
Hi folks. I was staying at one of the big chain hotels in Glasgow Scotland, never normally an issue. However woke up after staying the night to my car surrounded by police cordon tape. As you can imagine I went wtf is going on. So what happend was part of the building fell on my car, large 1.5mtr by 1.5mtr sheet of wall cladding. Damaged front of my car to the tune of 2000 pounds of repair work work estimated by two body repair shops. Hotel staff stated make insurance claim to hotel which I did but seven months later no further forward with hotel stating nothing to do with us and insurance company stating they are still investigating. The level of customer service I've had has been shockingly bad, my car is not fixed as I do not have 2 grand laying around And despite initial timescale of 3 months being stated for a decision this has come to nothing. I've been treated poorly by the hotel, my car is damaged and not trusting what the hotel states or insurance company states, what legal action can I take. Advice and suggestions much appreciated.
