I had some HVAC guys install a new furnace exhaust pipe through my exterior wall in Ontario, Canada. The old one wasn't to code. It has been cemented from the outside.
I want to close up the wall from the basement. Planning to use spray foam around the pipe, and in the old hole, then reinstall the old insulation that was taken out, then vapour barrier, then drywall.
Is spray foam the right way to go? If so, what kind of spray foam should I use? Any tips or suggestions on how to do this right?
