I just got a new screen, but it kept freezing randomly for no reason, and I had to force restart the phone for it to work again. I kept tweaking the settings, and the phone hasn’t frozen since.

In the settings, check if you have tap gestures on and turn them off—the ones where you double tap to wake the phone and double tap to lock it. Turn them all off.
