Oregon blackmail laws
Im 16 and I live im oregon, I just got out of a shitty relationship and around 3 months ago my, who was at the time my girlfriend, had her cousin pay me $80 so I could keep my wifi bill on (shitty home situations yk). Now at the time that it was sent from her cousin, my ex had told me she paid her cousin back to cover me there was no indication or statement saying I had to pay either of them back. Now fast forward 3 months me and that ex just broke up and im getting messages from the cousin and her parents saying if I don't pay the $80 back they're gonna try to sue me. Keep in mind there is no indication, statement or image of me saying or being told that I had to pay it back. I'm not trying to deal with legal trouble ive got enough going on, I practically pay the entirety of the houses bills eith a minimum wage full time job. But at the same time her cousins family is known to lie to get what they want. Should I just not risk it and pay the $80 or could not paying bite me in the ass?
