Middle grade book about Mary Queen of Scots maybe??
I am looking for a middle-grade fiction book that I think was about Mary Queen of Scots. It blended historical fiction with fantasy.
From what I can remember, Mary could see auras and there was a lot of talking about the powers different stones have (such as rose quartz for love/romance, amethyst for protection). I remember very little about the plot or other characters. I think it starts with Mary being taken from her home to live in the courts in France.
The version I read was definitely a loan from the library (most likely between the years of 2009-2011), and I believe it had red on the cover (I know that's not a lot lmfao sorry!)
I have done some intense googling and have found a lot of books that fit some of the parameters, but I still haven't found the one! If anyone finds it, I will be forever grateful <3
