What should I replace the gray vinyl flooring with in the living room of new house?
Hi! We just bought our home (photos are from listing) and one thing I want to change asap is the flooring in the living room. It was poorly installed and I also don't like the way it looks next to the wood (are the floors red oak?). Ideally we'd want to get wood floors and then refinish everything to make it consistent, but we're not ready to spend the money on that. Should we get some other type of LVP (what colors, style?) or just get carpet? Thanks!
Edit: Thanks for the responses! This confirmed what I already knew - we gotta go with the oak! But I also like the suggestions about putting in carpet for now so we don't have to look at that gray floor, and budgeting for the oak/refinish at a later time.. Either way, we'll get some quotes and there will eventually be cohesive oak wood flooring!
