Referee counting error on penalty shootout
Hi My daughter plays in the JPL girls u13 league and we got to the semifinals of the national tournament.
The match ended 2-2 under normal time and went to penalties
The penalty score was 3-3 after five penalties and the one of our girls missed the 6th penalty. The other team had only taken 5 penalties at that point.
The ref awarded the match to the opposition even though the goal count was still 3-3 with the opposition yet to take the 6th penalty.
Our girls were really disappointed because they missed the chance to go to the national finals.
The ref refused to listen and we have all the penalties recorded on one continuous video stream to show the score count 3-3.
The match has ended and everyone is desperately disappointed. Even the opposition parents were confused.
Are there are options available for our girls?
Are there any rules we can refer to or does the team have to accept the referee decision is final?
