TLDR: what’s a good workout routine if I focus on arms the 1st and legs the 2nd day? Goal is to slim my legs and under arm fat. Yes I am aware you can’t reduce one specific area and you should focus on muscle building, but since I’m asking this maybe I don’t fully understand it.
I’m kinda new to the gym and one of the reasons why I’ve pushed it off for so long was because finding the best routine overwhelmed me and I felt like I needed to do it perfect. Even going to the gym once a week is big for me and I’ve been going twice for a few weeks now. I don’t think I’m willing to do 3 days a week right now or anytime soon. I want to slim my inner thighs, calves, stomach, and under arm fat. I usually like to stick to weights and the elliptical machine bc I don’t want to rely on too many machines (not bc I think they’re bad, it just adds too much and it overwhelms me. What can I say, I know my limits 😿 I already hate going to the gym…) I also have an inverted triangle body with a long torso so I’d like to make my body have the illusion of a shorter torso/wider lower body.
All that to say, what is a good workout routine that I can do? Preferably something with just weights. I’ll try exercises on a yoga mat but I don’t really like those.
\- On both days, I end or start with 30 min on elliptical with incline 8-10 and resistance 3. For weights, I use two 5lbs.
\- For arm day I’ve been doing 30 total of: alternating front and side raises, single arm tricep, side rows, around the world, and raising the weight from hip to head (idk what it’s called).
\- For leg day, I’ve been doing 30 total of: Bulgarian split squats both sides each, hip thrusts, goblet squats, and dumbbells squat lifts.
Be nice pls bc I’m still learning and I want to have a healthier body. I’m still having some resistance toward going to the gym 😭 working on it though…
