Medication options

Hi everyone, I’m new to the UK and just saw a GP here for the first time.

I’ve been on metformin before but they won’t let me go on it anymore because my BMI is within healthy range, but I’ve gained almost 8kg and I’m trying to lose it again. As I’m sure many of you have dealt with a calorie deficit + consistently getting 10k steps and running 3x a week isn’t working 😩

I’m wondering if there’s any medication I can get to help insulin resistance that’s over the counter? I try to keep sugar and carbs on the lower side but it’s difficult with my living situation. Any other tips? Intermittent fasting has worked for me before.

Hi! I’m deciding between National Institute of Teaching & Goldsmiths University to get my qualifications & do my placement. I have an offer from both, but wanted to hear from anyone who has done their training with either? I’m doing Secondary English for context.

Goldsmiths is more expensive, but my interview was much better & I felt my questions were answered more in-depth and openly. I don’t know much about NIoT, but they have already found me a placement school.

There’s a few more factors but if anyone has advice please let me know!
