Elections don't change government type?
I'm playing Argentina without the south america expansion.
The game starts as non-aligned with a pretty even pie chart. I started by getting a fascist demagogue and saw there was an election at November 1937. I thought, "Hmm, well I can just let it naturally tick up and they will elect the fascist party... right?"
Well, apparently not. The election was last month.
Fascism is at 49%
Non-aligned is at 18%
Democracy is at 15%
Communism is at 15%
But non-aligned won the vote? I was scared this would happen, so I still have lots of saved pp to open discourse and hold the referendum but I'm a little annoyed that there is an election mechanic that doesn't change your government? It just feels a bit counter intuitive and I am interested to hear others thoughts on the matter.
